SC State Announces New Director of its MBA Program

Dr. Stacey E. Settle has been named the director of the Master of Business Administration Program at SC State College of Business.
"I have been here before as an assistant professor of business administration and as the director of Student Services, and I know the structure and how the University operates, and I am excited about being back," said Dr. Settle
Dr. Settle in collaboration with faculty and staff members will plan, develop, and implement new MBA Programs for SC State. He will review and modify existing programs, create new and innovative programs for the department, and will assist with developing and maintaining amicable relationships with corporate partners.
He received his bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from Cheyney State College, in Cheyney, Pa, and his masters degree and Ph.D. in Communication Studies at Howard University in Washington, DC.
Prior to coming to SC State, Settle served as an associate professor of business administration at the Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, N.C.
Dr. Settle was also an associate professor of Communication, a Project Director and Special Assistant to the Provost at North Carolina Central University, in Durham, N.C.
"Recruitment is the priority." Settle stated. "The vision for the MBA Program at SC State, is to implement new and innovative ideas to get the attention of potential students, so that it will not be any competition, when inquiring about SC State MBA program."
During his professional career, Settle published one book, Internship Handbook for Business Majors, (2007),
Dr. Settle is affiliated with the Association for Business Communication, the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and the National Black MBA Association.
He also holds membership with the National Association of Colleges and Employers where his service includes expertise in program development and administration.
"We are excited to welcome Dr. Stacey Settle to our faculty and MBA Program," said Dr. Robert T. Barrett, dean of the College of Business and Applied Professional Sciences. "His leadership will provide the stability that we need to build our MBA Program to its highest potential."
