SC State Sued by Ex-employee

According to the Charleston Regional Business Journal, ex-employee Gail Hart Johnson filed a $600 000 lawsuit against SC State for wrongfull firing after she "blew the whistle" on the misuse of 2 million dollars worth of federal money by senior school officials.
Johnson was fired in 2006.
The journal reported that the lawsuit names 12 persons including former president Andrew Hugine Jr, who is also suing the instituion for wronful dismissal. The publication lists details of the suit which allege that the former employee was victimized by school officials, transferred to an unsafe location and even threatened by campus police.
University officials declined to make a comment to the publication.
This lawsuit comes on the heels of the report made by the Times and Democrat, that the lawsuit filed by another ex-employee, Standard C. Johnson would be settled soon. Johnson who passed on May 21, also alleged wrongfull dismissal arising from whistle blowing.
Hugine's lawsuit is also still pending.
