SC STATE University has been ranked #8 most dangerous college in the United States by The Daily Beast.

The publication examined data from almost 9,000 schools, factoring incidents both on campus and nearby and weighing different crimes against each other.

Emerson University emerged as the number 1 most dangerous university because of its more than 80 reported robberies and 60 aggravated assaults, almost all near campus. Emerson is followed by Xavier University and the University of Maryland Baltimore.
